Chinese Spherical Graphite

Our uncoated spherical graphite (SPG) is manufactured by micronizing, rounding, and purifying natural flake graphite.Typically, about three metric tons of flake graphite concentrate are required to produce one of SPG, due to losses incurred during the initial processing stages, but by using state-of-the-art technology, we have reduced raw material waste while being able to narrow particle sizes for usage as: anode material in lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, portable devices, and grid storage applications, among many other applications.

Its superior features include: a high tap density, first discharge capacity above 360mAh/g - which is close to the theoretical maximum capacity for natural graphite of 372mAh/g - a charge/discharge efficiency greater than 86%, and a long cycle life.
